THE NEXT TWO ALBUMS
The Fiery Furnaces have already mentioned, in previous
interviews, sketchy details about their ideas for the
next record or two.
In the April 2004 issue of Q magazine Matt mentioned
that two more albums were already being worked on.
In a recent interview to Pitchfork Media, Eleanor and
Matt mentioned some interesting and more concrete details
about the next two Fiery Furnaces records.
Matt told Pitchfork 'We're going to have one with
our grandmother and Eleanor singing duets about the
hopes that Eleanor has as a young person, and then my
grandmother will tell her the failures and cruel blows
fate delivered. [...]
The other will be a rollicking record with long verses.'
No details about a possible release date are available
yet, though it has been suggested that the first album
might see the light of day sometime in early 2005 already.
