The Fiery Furnaces are set to perform at the sixth Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, to be held April 30-May 1 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA. The Fiery Furnaces are set to play on May 1st (Day 2 of the festival), together with Bright Eyes, The Arcade Fire, Miss Kittin, Roni Size, New Order, The Prodigy and Nine Inch Nails as headliners. High Road Touring have updated and confirmed dates for the Fiery Furnaces US tour in April. Go to the tour page to view the dates. Most of the dates are as reported earlier, but with a few changes. The Fierys will play with Dios Malos.
There have also been some venue changes on the Australian dates in March, plus the opening band has been announced: Dappled Cities Fly.

Speaking to Billboard.com, Eleanor and Matt announced more details on the next [double] album, with the release date now being suggested as Summer 2005. A new track, "Zapped By The Zombie", is set to be featured on the first disc, "Garfield L", while the second disc, tentatively titled "Singing to Speak Chinese," includes new tracks "Teach Me Sweetheart" and "Nevers."
Additionally, Billboard announces the band are set to play California's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival (April 30-May 1).

'Blueberry Boat' has been named one of the top 50 albums of 2004 by Pitchfork Media. The album is one the list at a very high #4, beaten by latest outings from The Streets, Animal Collective and Arcade Fire.
